Love Story

Our First Meet:

After weeks of a mutual friend insisting
we meet, Kayshree finally agreed —
although it meant sacrificing something rather important… a Formula 1 race!

What was meant to be an ordinary
Sunday afternoon at Jozi Gin became the beginning of everything.

Rukesh remembers seeing her
and simply thinking:
“God, this is her.”

Between laughter, stories, discovering
that Indians apparently do exist in Nelspruit, and Kayshree convincing Rukesh to eat chicken wings, something just clicked.
She thought she had given up an
F1 race for a first date.
Little did we know, we had just begun the greatest adventure of our lives.

Our Journey together:

Life together has been anything but ordinary.
We travel. We dance. We sing songs we
only half know. We laugh far too loudly.
And somewhere along the way, we discovered that we both have a rather
serious shopping problem.

Kayshree calls it a passion.
Rukesh calls it dangerous.

Our bank accounts prefer not to comment.
But beneath all the adventures is
something far more special.

Rukesh is Kayshree’s calm in the chaos —
her greatest supporter, her safe place and
the man with the biggest heart.
And Kayshree brings adventure, laughter
and a little magic into even the most ordinary days.

Together, we’ve learnt that the greatest adventures aren’t measured by how
far you travel…
but by who is beside you for the journey.

Our Engagement:

London. The Shard. And somehow, Kayshree suspected absolutely nothing.

After Rukesh suddenly needed a new shirt, new sneakers, a shave — and became unusually interested in exactly what Kayshree should wear — we were apparently “running late to meet a friend.”

Then the doors opened at the
top of The Shard.
Flowers.
Candles.
Music.
The London skyline.
Tower Bridge sparkling below.
And Rukesh, on one knee.
SHE SAID YES!

But there was one final surprise.
Remember that Formula 1 race Kayshree sacrificed for their first date?
Rukesh finally made up for it — with her
very first Formula 1 Grand Prix.
London became Paris, Paris became Wimbledon, and an unforgettable week became the beginning of our forever.

Sometimes the greatest adventures are the
ones you never see coming.
